DTCM, R.Ac -Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Registered Acupuncturist/Sports Injury, RMT - Deep Tissue/Myofasical Massage
After graduating high school, Maryna enrolled into University to become a teacher. While traveling to Asia during her first year of school, she soon discovered a passion for massage and acupuncture. She observed a culture where food and touch are the peoples' medicine; where people lived a relaxed lifestyle with a proactive approch to health and soon fell in love. Most people in Asia practice yoga or Tai Chi after work, eat incredible dishes that are infused with healing herbs and treat themselves to Acupuncture and/or Massage to prevent disease. These practices are not just alternative medicines but instead, a traditional way of life.
After returning from her travels with new inspiration, Maryna decided to leave University to pursue a career of helping people through working with the body. Fast forward 8 years later and Maryna now has a successful massage therapy practice and has just recently finished her acupuncture schooling and she couldn't imagine a more rewarding job - relieving a person's pain and allowing them to feel their best is the most amazing feeling to Maryna!
Maryna graduated from the Foothills College of Massage in 2008 and most recently completed her Acupuncture designation at the Calgary College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture. Her goal is to combine Acupuncture, massage and cupping therapies to obtain maximum health benefits for her patients'. She specializes in, but is not limited to, deep tissue massage techniques and Acupuncture focusing on injury and trauma. Her past work with patients has included motor vehicle accidents, pre-natal massage, musculotendinous tears (tendonitis) and post-surgical scar tissue manipulation.
This year Maryna will be attending an internship at the China Japan Friendship hospital in Beijing, China that focuses on looking at how Acupuncture is integrated with Western Medicine in a hospitalized setting.

Reiki Tummo Master, Certified Reiki Tummo Practitioner, Distance Healing Sessions
A lifelong love of nature, an unquenching desire to learn, and a continual drive to help others have provided me with a breadth of experiences that have served as the foundation of not only my journey in personal healing, but in becoming inspired to help others heal themselves.
Balancing academics with being active has always been an integral part of my life, with competitive provincial volleyball and speedskating keeping me grounded as I pursued degrees at the University of Calgary. In 1999, I graduated with a BSc Honors in Computer Science, including a Minor in Astrophysics (placating my early desire to be an astronaut). I was fortunate to receive an NSERC scholarship and returned to complete my Masters in Science, specializing in simulating the northern lights.
It was at this point that my desire to help people continued drawing me into roles where I could be a helper and facilitator, as I moved from software development into management. I am now a Senior Director of Research & Development at a medical software company here in Calgary.
It was during the latter part of this journey where I encountered a litany of challenges - health, personal, and emotional - and found myself standing on the edge of a proverbial cliff, at the most uncertain and overwhelmingly uncomfortable place I’ve been in my entire life.
Inspired by the help of Dr Cameron Forster and the wonderful folks at The Samadhi Tree, I found myself “Falling to Let Go”... to let go of my pain, my fear, my perception of control… and found a completely foreign sense of freedom. I deserved to be loved. I deserved to heal.
This gave me hope, faith in myself, and a deep resonating desire to help other people find what I had… strength in finding a way through their own obstacles. After Learning Reiki Tummo, it felt like a fire had been lit deep in my soul, and I’ve been inspired to help friends, children, animals, and even strangers with hundreds and hundreds of treatments ever since.
Let me help you use your own challenges as a catalyst, along with Reiki Tummo, for your own healing journey.

RMT - Deep Tissue, Myofascial Release, Cupping Therapy
"I truly believe that good health is yours for the taking. When you are equipped with the right tools and knowledge, you are ultimately in control of your health. In my massage sessions I will use all of the knowledge, skills and the strong intuition I have to create and tailor the most effective treatment plan for each individual case. But more importantly I will educate you, the client, on how to be part of the healing process. I hope this will help bring to you the understanding of how to properly maintain that balanced, healthy and happy body effectively putting the control back into your hands.
I was first introduced to Massage Therapy after an old injury in my shoulder was giving me chronic pain with no relief. After experiencing the incredible results massage had provided me, coupled with what had always seemed like a natural talent of mine, a passion to help others was instilled and I graduated at the top of my class from the 2280 hour program at the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 2007. My strong desire to aide healing and my thirst to always keep learning brought further training in Myofascial Release, Reflexology and most recently Cupping Massage. Since starting my practice I have worked with a wide range of clients dealing with numerous therapeutic needs. My treatments are always filled with a lot of intent and I listen to what the body is telling me.
I am a very calming and positive therapist to be around and combined with the years of experience and education I have picked up along the way, I am very confident I can help you reach your goals and to achieve lasting results."

Manual Osteopathic Practitioner, Certified Stotts Pilates Instructor (DOMP)
I have many passions: my family first, my practice second and rock-climbing (or walking barefoot; or slacklining – the list goes on!) to round off my top favourites. Way back in the early 2000’s, a second knee surgery forced me to re-think my exercise practices. After many other trials, I decided to give this ”lying-down” exercise (Pilates) a try. It was completely different than my usual go-to exercises but it was fantastic! My knee felt stronger than it had in years and I was able to go back to some of my normal activities without pain or restrictions. My instructor encouraged me to become a certified instructor with Stott Pilates and over the next 15 years I followed a natural progression to specializing in working with those who have movement restrictions/difficulties. In 2017 I was excited to be one of the last classes to graduate as a Restorative Exercise Therapist after training with Katy Bowman (Biomechanist) at the Nutritious Movement Centre and more recently completing my Diploma in Osteopathic Manual Practice. I have worked in two physiotherapy clinics helping patients who have “graduated” from Physiotherapy but still need to find a way to move better – safely – and to bridge their exercise programs.
I love helping people understand how to move their bodies and feel empowered by focusing where they are strong and allowing that to stand as a foundation to support other areas of their body that may need some extra care and attention. Helping my clients focus on their strengths and restoring movement has been incredibly rewarding. It takes a village to raise a child and sometimes it takes a team of passionate experts to help people restore movement to parts of their bodies that need support. I am so excited to be working with the entire team at The Samadhi Tree to help patients find new possibilities for movement!

Ayurvedia Health Practitioner, AHP, RYT, RCYT
Emma helps her clients bring balance into their lives, through an Ayurvedic approach employing knowledge that comes not only from the mind but also from the heart.
Her personal health journey and education inspires and informs what she’s helping create within others, with a thorough intake process, of observing a patient’s physical health, daily routines and habits. She prioritizes the steps to first identify the causes of imbalance and then determines optimal treatment options for each specific client.
Her journey to alternative health management began as a young athlete after a rare condition left her injured with limited mobility. The high energy, intensity young lady was suddenly faced with losing the way of life she’d always known. This was a heart-breaking time, but it also inspired change as it forced her to pull her life back together in a new way…through a practice of yoga which led to a profound shift in her life, it was the catalyst that set her Ayurvedic journey in motion.
As Emma’s practice grew, so did her thirst for knowledge and desire to help others. Her personal journey allows her to relate to and create deep connections with her clients, truly understanding the challenges of life-altering health challenges. The holistic integration of mind, body, and spirit continues to inspire her, creating passion and commitment to her work in the combined realms of yoga and Ayurvedic medicine.

Certified Iridologist, Usui Reiki Master, Intuitive Counselling Practitioner
Perhaps its' true what they say - "the eyes are the window to the soul". Essentially they are the windows to one's overall health and well-being and as an inspiring intuitive from her younger years, Sasha always knew there was more than what meets the eye....
Upon learning of a dear friend's deteroriating health and in the absence of a clear medical explanation, Sasha experienced a sense of urgency to detect the source and find a solution. As Sasha's curiosity and concern grew she reached out to a knowledgeable friend who led her to Dr. Eugene Orr - a man who had confidently mastered the art of looking into the Iris and the subsequent ability to locate the root of ones' dis-ease. This was a pivotal moment for Sasha and soon after she decided to pursue her holistic career and studied to become a Certified Iridologist.
In 2013, Sasha completed her certificate in Iridology with the Herbal School of Modern Medicine and continues to study under her mentor, Dr. Orr. The study of Iridology has been an incredible journey for Sasha in understanding that every being is one-of-a-kind, just as every Iris is unique to each individual. Once she began to listen to her natural calling, she was guided once again towards her Reiki Teacher who taught her the raw art of Reiki and ancient First Nations Traditions. Sasha's natural claircognizance has given her a sense of purpose and passion for healing.
- Certificate in Practical Iridology, Registered through the School of Modern Medicine (President Steven Horne) - 2013

I believe every body deserves to be treated individually, and as a whole.
My goal with each client is to treat you as an individual. Listening to your concerns, your body’s needs and tailoring each treatment to be your own. The body is a magnificent tool that has the ability to let you know exactly what it needs and how to treat it. When we tune in and listen to this voice, we are able to heal as a whole.
I have always had a strong desire to help, to be part of something bigger. After moving to Calgary in 2015 I found my calling with massage therapy. I graduated from the Advanced Clinical Massage Therapy 3000 hour program at Makami College and my career took flight. I have worked beside psychologists, yoga instructors, chiropractors and fellow therapists that have all helped mold my therapies into who I am today.
I have experience with high stress/anxiety, sports injury, motor vehicle accidents as well as therapeutic relaxation and deep tissue massage.
I look forward to adding treatments such as Indian foot massage, TMJ treatment and a mindful mediation massage which combines yoga Nidra meditation and massage to reach a deeper state of relaxation which will enhance your therapeutic massage.
When I am not massaging, you can find me in the mountains in the summer, snowshoeing in the winter, and enjoying every minute of family I can.
